Since I can remember, I've adored peonies. There's something about them that always filled me with joy as I grew up. They were a prominent feature in my memories of my mother's garden, even though their bloom only lasts a week or two in the perennial bed. Maybe it is because they're so rare and special, with a beautiful fragrance that makes them unforgettable.
As a child, I would carry the most elaborate bouquets of peonies on my hour-long bus ride to school. These bouquets were sometimes as large as or even larger than my head, given as gifts for my teachers. At the time, I didn't fully grasp how thoughtful and kind this gesture was. Now, it inspires me to share the beauty and scent of these flowers even more.

I wish a computer screen could have a scratch and sniff haha. The scent of this peony was intoxicating.
My favourite peonies are the ones with soft pink blooms. They are just so beautiful in the spring garden, pair so well with purple bearded iris's and are truly romantic.
A collection of images from the garden. I just love the large blooms stemming out of the Portuguese vase - a scene I would love to paint one day.

The peachy tones that are in the center of these pink peonies is so beautiful. The colour variation just in one flower is so fascinating.
A collection of images from around the garden & house demonstrating the beauty of the Spring Garden. The climbing roses are always a favourite!
Flowers and gardening possess a unique power to bring happiness, evoke memories, and instill serenity in people's lives. I firmly believe that gardening is more than just an activity—it's an art form. Having a garden allows you to connect deeply with nature and create a world that is uniquely yours.
In my experience, creative minds flourish in these environments. It's a safe haven, offering solace and refuge from the chaos of the world.
